Police Investigating Cemetery Vandalism

Police received a report about 8 pm on June 20 informing them that vandalism had occurred at Newtown Village Cemetery at 20 Elm Drive.

Multiple gravestones at the cemetery had been overturned by someone in an act of criminal mischief, police said.

The damage is believed to have occurred on June 20, sometime after 10 am, according to police.
