Savings Bank Of Danbury Foundation Grants Top $96k

DANBURY — The Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation has finalized the list of recipients of grants made available to not-for-profit organizations serving both the greater Danbury and Waterbury areas. These grants are awarded in support of education, community and economic development, health and human services, and arts and culture.

Savings Bank of Danbury’s strong commitment to the communities it serves has been a priority for more than 158 years. Grants awarded through the Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation totaled $96,600 in 2007. In addition to the foundation contributions, Savings Bank of Danbury contributed in excess of $100,000 to local nonprofit agencies in 2007.

The foundation’s mission is to strengthen our communities by providing grants to organizations that are vital to the well-being, growth and prosperity of the communities in which we live and work.”

Foundation grants are administered by a committee consisting of Savings Bank of Danbury corporators, directors, and officers.
