Menâs League
On one of the hottest days this summer, a brave crowd made its way over to Rock Ridge for Menâs Day.
Through the heat, Tim Rahr came out on top, followed by John OâConnor, and a tie for third between David Cornett and Jeff Fetchick.
Club Championship
A 27-hole qualifier has a field of 16 for this yearâs Club Championship. The heat made for some tough competition, but through it all after Round 1, all of the top seeds advanced.
Defending champion Chris Watson was able to win his match to make it to the quarterfinals. Other notable winners were Frank Gavel, Larry McCoy, and Mike Johnson. Quarterfinals begin July 30.
Family Scramble
With the heat finally subsiding, a record number for families showed up for the Family Scramble this past Sunday. A dozen families battled it out for first place.
Top honors went to the Palumbo family, followed by the Gavels and a combination of Dr Jack and Janet Duffy, Thomas Gavel, and Shelby Vertula.
