Joseph Dutko

Joseph Dutko, 80, of Newtown, beloved husband of Anna (Ungrady) Dutko, died May 24 at Ashlar of Newtown.

Mr Dutko was born in East Rochester, N.Y., and resided in Bridgeport, Tex., and later in Newtown. Mr Dutko was a contractor with the Wayne Kadar Company in Fairfield for 25 years and was a World War II veteran, serving in the US Navy. He was honored by the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Munhall, Penn., for extraordinary construction in 1989. He was a member of the VFW Post 9168.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Stephen Dutko of Auburn, Mich.; two daughters, Donna Marie Hair and her husband, Audrey, and Deborah Ann Dutko, of Fairfield; one brother, John Dutko of Villa Park, Ill.; and two sisters, Helen Gomez of Riverside, Calif., and Bette Patt of Newark, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on May 28 in the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 1640 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport, and in St John Baptist Byzantine GC Church with a divine liturgy. Interment was in St Michael Cemetery.

Donations in his memory may be made to Ahlbin Rehab Center, 2600 Post Road, Fairfield.
