Police said eastbound motorist Laura Hatstat, 32, of Woodbury, who was driving a 2015 Honda CR-V SUV, stopped in traffic, after which eastbound motorist William Bria, 24, of Seymour, who was driving a 2007 Infiniti G-35 sedan, stopped behind the Honda CR-V. Eastbound motorist Anthony Salaris, 16, of Sandy Hook, who was driving a 2007 Honda Odyssey minivan, then struck the rear end of the Infiniti G-35, which was then was pushed into the rear end of the Honda CR-V, police said. Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps went to the scene and checked all those involved in the accident, but made no transports, police said. Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company also responded. Police said they issued Salaris an infraction for following too closely.
