Shirley R. Rongetti

Shirley R. (Jensen) Rongetti, 49, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., formerly of Newtown, died at home on July 11.

She was born in Fort Huron, Mich., on September 19, 1951. She was married on August 23, 1986, to Joseph R. Rongetti, who survives.

She was employed as a cashier for Canteen Corporation at IBM in Poughkeepsie, and retired in March 1999. She was a 12-year resident of Poughkeepsie.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who will be greatly missed.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Sherri Barnum of Pennsylvania, Bobbi Jo Rongetti of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Dana Marie Rongetti, also of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Chelsea Renee Barnum, Wayne Bruce Barnum, Jr, Catherine Elizabeth D’Aloia, and Joseph Robert Rongetti; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services and burial were private.

Arrangements were made by the Michael Torson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc, 218 Mill Street, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
