Dearly Missed By 

Wife And Family

Theodore W. “Bill” Melko, 83, longtime resident of Sandy Hook, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital, May 10. He was born November 5, 1927, in New York City.

Mr Melko served in the US Navy toward the end of World War II.

After retiring from the pump business, he and his wife Vrony wintered in Vieques, Puerto Rico, for the last 18 years. He enjoyed playing cards, and being with friends.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by; three daughters, Arlene Miles, and her husband Bob, of Newtown, Debbie Melko-Santos, and her husband Chris, of Danbury, and Diane Melko of Florida. One granddaughter and three great-grandchildren also survive Mr Melko.

The family has scheduled a celebration of his life, for friends and family, Friday, May 13, from 3 to 7 pm, at 7 Maple Drive, Sandy Hook.

Burial will be private. Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main Street South, Southbury, is in charge of arrangements.
