In keeping with its mission of safety, fun, and character, Newtown Youth Football & Cheer (NYFC) will hold Newtown Day on Sunday, October 8, at Blue & Gold Stadium. This is a rich tradition of multiple Nighthawk football and cheerleader teams, families and friends congregating and celebrating Newtown, its blessings, and its values.

Families are asked to bring a donation of their choice to the game and deposit it at the designated locations at Blue & Gold Stadium. A list of requested donation items is below.

All donating families will receive a raffle ticket for entry into a halftime drawing for a Newtown Nighthawk cowbell. Two great organizations; two drawings at the halftime of each of four games: Grade 4 at 9 am vs Bristol; Grade 6 at 11 am vs Bristol; Grade 7 at 1 pm vs Clinton; and Grade 8 at 3 pm vs Wallingford.

Dorothy Day is running a winter accessory drive and is asking for hats, scarves, gloves, socks, earmuffs. All items must be new and in original packing (respectfully, Dorothy Day does not need jackets or coats).
