Garner Sexual Assault Allegations Unfounded

State police said that at about 8:40 am on August 25, they received a report concerning an alleged sexual assault involving a prisoner and a correction officer at Garner Correctional Institution, the state’s high-security prison at 50 Nunnawauk Road.

Based on a probe into the matter, the allegations are unfounded and the investigation is closed, state police said in a brief statement.
