Rooster Run Is Tomorrow

The Rooster Run/Walk, a 5K course with the proceeds benefiting the Newtown Scholarship Association, will take place tomorrow, Saturday, June 20, beginning at 8 am. The race will begin and end at the Newtown Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street.
Race day registration, at the start of the course, will end at 7:45 am. Fee on race day is $30. Online and walk-in registrations closed at noon on June 19. Contributions are also accepted and are tax deductible. Checks should be made payable to Newtown Parks & Recreation and mailed to 3 Main Street, Newtown CT 06470.
Rooster Run participants check out the trophies at the end of the 2014 race. More awards are waiting for this year's competitors. The race begins, at the Newtown Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street, at 8 am on Saturday, June 20. Runners may register on site on race day until 7:45 am.
