Mr and Mrs David J. Hale

Irene Susan LaRoche, daughter of Marge La Roche of Sandy Hook and Art LaRoche of Southport, was married October 13, 2002, to David John Hale, son of John and Valerie Hale of Warren, Vt.

The wedding and reception were held at the Garden House at Look Park in Northampton, Mass.

The bride was attended by her sisters, Tina and Michelle LaRoche, both of Los Angeles, and Nikki LaRoche of Sandy Hook, and a high school friend, Amy Buckingham Lee of Evergreen, Colo. Her maid of honor was a friend from Hampshire College, Ann-Marie Torregrossa of Rye, N.Y.

The groom was attended by his sisters, Alison Hale of Waterbury Center, Vt., and Sarah Hale Krull of Portland, Me., and college friends Charlie Pyne of Quincy, Mass., and Joe Russo of Peabody, Mass. His best man was Kevin Monahan of Danbury.

Readings were given by the couple’s mothers, as well as Rebecca Delgado, Amherst, Mass., and Erin Runnion, Stanton, Calif.

The ceremony was performed by Robert Dilzer, Jr, longtime friend and former teacher of both the bride and groom.

They are graduates of Newtown High School, Class of 1992.

The bride graduated from Hampshire College in 1996, and received her master’s of education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 1998. She is currently a teacher at Hampshire Regional High School in West Hampton, Mass.

The groom received his bachelor of arts from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 1996. He is an elementary school teacher at Conway Grammar School, Conway, Mass.

They honeymooned at the Connecticut Lakes in New Hampshire.

The couple is relocating from Northampton, Mass., to Goshen, Mass. in July.
