Football Team Blanks Brookfield, Prepares For Bethel

Newtown High School’s football team blanked host Brookfield 41-0 on October 28 to improve to 6-1 this fall. The Nighthawks got three touchdowns from Lou Fenaroli and the defense shut down the Bobcats for yet another lopsided NHS win. The Nighthawks were coming off a 69-26 win over Stratford the week before.

Newtown will welcome Bethel, fresh off its upset win of Bunnell of Stratford, to Blue & Gold Stadium for a 7 pm kickoff on Friday, November 4 as the Hawks make a push for a return to the South-West Conference championship game, as well as a berth in the state playoffs.
