Mr and Mrs Michael Mattera

Kristen Margaret Anderson and Michael Paul Mattera were married on July 26, 2003, at First Lutheran Church of the Reformation in New Britain, with the Rev Chris Scharen officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Marcia Anderson of Southington, and the groom is the son of John and Pauline Mattera of Norwalk.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Gretchen Anderson, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Karen Mattera, Debbie Borges, Danielle Johnson, Claire Borkowsi, Jennifer Mills, and Mercede Arnette. Alyssa Borges, niece of the bride and groom, served as flower girl.

Best man was John Mattera, Jr, brother of the groom. Ushers were Derek Anderson, Bert Borges, Bobby DeNicola, Jerry Arnette, Ugo Mattera, and Scott Stracka. Joey Borges, nephew of the bride and groom, served as the ring bearer.

The bride holds degrees from Susquehanna University and Lesley University. She is a first grade teacher at Sandy Hook School in Sandy Hook.

The groom is a graduate of Sacred Heart University. He is an associate director with UBS in Stamford.

Following a reception at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington, the couple went on a honeymoon in St Lucia. They currently live in Newtown.
