CWU World Community Day Planned

The public is invited to join the local unit of Church Women United in celebrating World Community Day on Friday, November 4, at 6 pm, at Newtown Congregational Church. As of November 3, CWU Newtown Unit President Darlene Jackson was still hoping to be able to present this program.

“Living Our Faith: Unlocking Action” will be the theme. Deacon Norman Roos, from St Rose of Lima, will be speaking and moderating. He has spent most of his ministerial life involved in Scripture. He has moderated small group Bible studies, taught Scripture to high school freshmen and sophomores, and conducted Scripture-based retreats.

Registration will be at 6 pm in foyer of The Great Room at Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street.  Dinner will be at 6:15, and the program will be from 7 until 8. Tickets are $5 per person. For more information contact Mrs Jackson at 203-788-1541.
