In celebration of what would have been Mary Hawley's 160th birthday, the Edmond Town Hall Board of Managers hosted an open house in the Mary Hawley Memorial Room of Edmond Town Hall on Tuesday, August 22.

Guests were encouraged to learn more about Newtown's generous benefactress, sign the guest book, and enjoy a spread of cookies and refreshments. In addition to having Miss Hawley's favorite flowers - red gladioli - on display, there were also copies of historical documents, like her will, for the public to read.
