Girls 7th
Monroe 53, Newtown 37 â Sara Kelley netted 14 points while Jennifer Daily added eight to spark Newtown. Kaitlin Marsden and Kate Bowen combined for 11 while Brittany Wiberg ripped down Nine rebounds. Nicole Elias was strong off the boards for Newtown while Meghan Bridges played well defensively.
Newtown 46, Weston 22 â Jennifer Daily (14 points), Kaitlin Marsden (12 points), Carolyn Fagan (six points) and Kate Bowen (six points) powered the offense in a win over Weston. Ally Modzelewski converted a key three-point play while Stephanie Suhoza played well defensively for Newtown. Fagan, Marsden and Daily rebounded well for Newtown.
Girls 6th
Newtown 31, Yorktown 27 â Colleen Cunningham had 15 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks to lead Newtown past Yorktown. Maggie Donohue had 11 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks and four steals while Sam Whitley popped in five points. Alex Grant, Casey-Rose Kearns played solid defense.
Monroe 35, Newtown 25 â Colleen Cunningham and Maggie Donohue combined for 17 points, 19 rebounds, six blocks and four steals to lead Newtown. Jen Smith, Kristen Errico and Alex Grant combined for seven points as Cady Jackman and Sam Whitley anchored the defense.
New Milford 25, Newtown 23 â Maggie Donohue poured in 14 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had five steals to lead Newtown. Colleen Cunningham and Cady Jackman combined for six points and 16 rebounds while Casey- Rose Kearns, Alex Grant and Sam Whitley all put points on the board.
Boys 5th
Newtown 24, Trumbull 18 â Daniel Gallagher and Kevin LeBlanc played well on offense while Michael Greenwood and Trey Trudell anchored the D in a win over Trumbull.
Newtown 30, Southbury 29 â Taylor Steimle was solid on offense as Newtown nipped Southbury. Dominic Fedak was strong off the glass as Austin Bonadio, Michael Lord and Sean Ross had strong floor games.

Junior Girls
Pacers 23, Sixers 19 â Meagan Kelly scored eight points and Annie Fletcher added four more to lead the Pacers to victory. Hannah Bausch-Gould led the defense with four steals and Natalie Villa ripped down 10 rebounds. For the Sixers, Erin Fish and Kaley Kruger had six points each while Keegan Frobey chipped in with three steals and Taylor Ansbro grabbed eight rebounds.
Huskies 25, Knicks 11 â Betsy Vendel led the Huskies with 14 points. In a team effort, Shannon Zamary, Bryony Langdon and Kate Foy combined for 21 rebounds while Zoe Rabinowitz played well on defense. For the Knicks, Kristen Tassinari had four points, while Marnie Thompson, Merideth LaPerch and Lauren Picerno played well.
Bulls 44, Celtics 31 â Mary Plavnicky poured in nine points to lead the Bulls while Erin Nemeth and Bernice Bryant played tough defense. For the Celtics, Lyndsey Burns had 10 points and Sam Lockhart added eight more. Rebecca Castegner and Lauren Sippin also had fine floor games for the Celtics.
Huskies 35, Bulls 17 â Betsy Vendel canned 14 points while Lisa Vendel added six steals and Bryony Langdon ripped down eight rebounds to lead the Huskies. Courtney Berko had a fine floor game. For the Bulls, Erin Nemeth had 10 points and Mary Plavnicky added four more. Ashley Kuligowski chipped in with four assists and Michelle Davies had four steals.
Knicks 21, Sixers 19 â Danielle Rubino and Kristen Tassinari had six points each to lead the Knicks to victory in a very tight game. Jen Spanedda keyed the defense and Marnie Thompson grabbed six rebounds. Kaley Kruger led the Sixers with 14 points while Alyssa Buda and Erin Fish had fine floor games.

Suns 27, Shamrocks 22 â Marilyn LaCroce canned 16 points while Kelly OâConnor and Stef Clavette passed very well to lead the Suns to the win. Marissa Cucco, Lainey Audet, Caitlin Dowling, Breanne Lubinsky and Keri Chernoff had strong floor games. For the âRocks, Kelly Anne Brophy scored 12 points while Deanna Tassinari dished off five assists. Amanda Stanton and Alyssa Ruddy played well.
Rim Rockers 25, Huskies 16 â Ali Pliszka scored 11 points to lead the Rockers to the win. Carly Gehrman, Morgan Hopper and Sara Benson played well. For the Huskies, Emma Kingsley canned six points as Brittany Bauch, Katie Lago and Nicole Davis had strong floor games.
Da Bulls 34, Nighthawks 23 â Christie Arnold popped in 14 points and Taylor Benson added 10 to lead Da Bulls to the win. Benson also grabbed 18 rebounds while Jenna Bonacorso dished off five assists. For the âHawks, Pickles Paproski scored 10 points as Katie Fossum, Christine Naldini, Anna Hodge and Laurel Speed played well.
Da Bears 30, Liberty 4 â Emma Herring scored 14 points and Andrea Nazer dished off six assists to lead Da Bears. Emma Fiore, Kaitlyn Vos Winkel and Elie Mouchatet had strong floor games.

Golden Bears versus Purple Panthers â Emily Clark, Kate Butari, Sasha Nanavaty and Pachanga Sway played well for the Bears while Jessica Gibbons, Lauren Sarna, Kerry Scallon and Mary Joe Rossi played well for the Panthers.
Monkeys versus Devils â Natalie Glazer, Brittany Pearson and Lauren Meyer played well for the Monkeys as Shaina Stamp, Caitlin Yakush, Katie McManus and Jane Sclafani played well for the Devils.
Huskies versus Blue Devils â Kiersten Lynch, Kelly OâSullivan, Morgan Cutolo and Mariah Joy had strong games for the Huskies as Ellen Gordon, Danielle Shine, Angela Halili and Caroline Kingsley played well for the Devils.
Fireballs versus Yellowjackets â Mackenzie Lapp, Melanie Routonte, Emily Peters and Siena Cicurelli had solid efforts for the Fireballs while Maddie Good, Nicole Rothenbacher and Kate Bartel played well for the âJackets.
Fighting Irish versus Wolverines â Shannon OâGorman, Karlie Kuligowski, Rachel DiVanno and Abigail Kuligowski had nice games for the Irish while Julia Trudell, Kristiana Engler, Madeline Fletcher and Kelly OâConnell paced the Wolverines.
