William F.     Schieffer
William Francis Schieffer, 82, died August 15 in a hospital in Katy, Tex.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Marta Schieffer of Newtown.
He graduated from Fordham University and was a major in the US Army and a World War II veteran. He worked for more than 30 years in Bogota, Colombia, in the automotive import and export business.
He is also survived by his wife, Eileen Schieffer of Katy, Tex.; children, Marylouise and Danny Shook of Hendersonville, N.C., Michael and Liz Schieffer of Houston, Tex., William L. and Gretchen Schieffer of Katy, Tex., and Christopher and Robin Schieffer of Boulder, Colo.; grandchildren, William Ross Schieffer, Matthew Schieffer, Molly Rutter, Wendy Rutter, Meghan Schieffer, Ryan Schieffer, Kathryn Schieffer, Margaret Schieffer, William L. Schieffer, Jr, and Ruth Grace Schieffer; and nieces and other loving family members.
A Mass was celebrated at the Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church in Katy, Tex., with the Rev Msgr Jack M. Dinkins as celebrant. Interment was in Katy Magnolia Cemetery, in Katy, Tex.

The Schmidt Funeral Home, 1508 East Avenue, Katy, Tex., was in charge of arrangements.
