Nellie M. Kochiss

Nellie M. Kochiss, 85, beloved wife of the late George E. Kochiss, of Stratford, died May 27 at Bridgeport Hospital.

Born in Bridgeport August 2, 1917, daughter of the late Michael and Rose (Uhaul) Vitkowski, she was a lifelong area resident and was a retired hairdresser from Rilline Dermetics in Bridgeport.

She is survived by her children, Chuck and his wife, Carol Kochiss, of Newtown, Nancy Kochiss and her husband, Douglas Kennedy, of Stratford; four grandsons, Richard J. and Colin Marusa, Timothy B. and Christopher S. Kochiss.

Friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday, May 30, at 8 am, from the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford, and at 9 am in St James Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Stratford.

Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, May 29, from 4 to 8 pm.
