*CHRIS CORNELL will bring his Songbook Solo Acoustic Tour — highlighting songs the former Audioslave vocalist and Soundgarden lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist has written throughout his career — to The Warner Theatre on Sunday, November 19.

Tickets for the 8 pm show in Torrington are $45 and can be purchased by calling the theater’s box office at 860-489-7180 or online at www.WarnerTheatre.org.

Also coming to the Warner, this month — next weekend, in fact — are THE GOO GOO DOLLS. Tickets for the October 23 show are still available, priced from $39.50 to $75 each, through the box office and website above.

*Another October 23 event concerns Middlebury resident and American Idol season 9 contestant KATIE STEVENS, who will be participating in a special Reality Check event at Mohegan Sun as part of the casino’s 15th anniversary celebrations. Katie will be doing a live performance at 2 pm Sunday, followed by a book signing event at 2:45, at The Shops at Mohegan Sun.

Reality Check is an interactive event at the Uncasville venue that brings stars from the reality TV world to Mohegan Sun. Events provide fans with the ultimate exposure to their favorite reality stars with engaging, live exhibitions in The Shops at Mohegan Sun followed by intimate signing events.

*In support of their latest album, STAIND will bring their current tour to Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, November 25, at 8 pm. Tickets are $30 and go on sale Friday, October 14, at 10 am through Ticketmaster. Your choice: visit www.ticketmaster.com, call Ticketmaster’s national toll free charge by phone number (800-745-3000), or visit any Ticketmaster outlet.

Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Saturday, October 15, subject to availability.

*CARAVAN OF THIEVES is among the upcoming offerings at The Palace Danbury.

The foursome from Bridgeport —  husband and wife guitar and vocals duo Fuzz and Carrie Sangiovanni, Benjamin Dean on violin and double bass madman Brian Anderson — will bring their unique blend of gypsy swing, folk and fiddle music, as well as theatrics and humor, to The Palace on October 21, for an 8 o’clock show.

Tickets are $15 (plus a $4 dollar ticketing fee), and they can be ordered online at www.thepalacedanbury.com or purchased at the door starting at 7 the night of the performance. The theater is at 165 Main Street, in the heart of downtown Danbury.

*Also coming up at the Palace will be a return of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which was apparently a regular midnight mainstay film screening at the theater during the 1980s.

The film holds the record for longest running release in film history (36 years and counting). The Palace has a pre-Halloween event scheduled for Saturday, October 29, starting at 9 pm. Tickets are $15, or $20 with a prop pack, and can be reserved through the website above.

Next month the Palace will host The Heroes Award Concert, on Saturday, November 12, which will feature performances by acclaimed songwriter JOHN FARRELL and world renowned Ghanaian drummer KOFI DONKOR, as well as students from local schools. Tickets for the Saturday afternoon show (3 pm start) are $10 per person, with a $40 family maximum.

*Jazz duo GOMEZ&SADLON (guitarist Thom Gomez and saxophone/flutist Rick Sadlon) have their next Twisted Vine show scheduled for Saturday, October 29. Showtime is 7:30 and should run about three hours.

The duo performs a wide range of music that features popular jazz, pop, rock and even some country musical selections from the American Songbook performed in an easy jazz style. The restaurant is at 285 Main Street (Route 34) in Derby. There is no cover charge, but if dining, Rick says reservations for the Birmingham Cellar are recommended by calling 203-734-2462.

*Sandy Hook based DOUG WAHLBERG BAND is one of five bands that who will be performing the 2nd Annual Lebo-DeSantie Center for Liver and Pancreatic Disease Fundraiser: A Night of Music at Westport Country Playhouse.

Hall of Famer Neal Smith will be joining DWB for at least one song, and the full evening will include performances by THE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN BAND, JESSE TERRY, STILL GOT THE BLUES and TO THE MAX. Brian Smith will emcee.

The event begins at 6 with cocktail hour (cash bar), a silent auction and pre-show music. The full show will get underway at 7.

Tickets for the November 12 event are $50 to $100. A limited number of tickets for a post-show dessert and coffee Meet & Greet with special guests are also available for an additional $25. Tickets can be ordered by calling 203-227-4177 or online at www.WestportPlayhouse.org, but note that the Meet & Greet tickets must be ordered through the website.

Proceeds will benefit The Lebo-DeSantie Center for Liver & Pancreatic Disease at St Vincent’s Medical Center.

*JOLIE, the recently formed duo of Joe Proc and Julie Ketchum, will have a pair of special guests for their Thursday night performance at My Place  next week.

 Joe and Julie will not only be joined by bassist Steve Clark, who usually performs with Joe as OFF THE HOOK, they will also welcome very special guest James Mingo Lewis. The performance is scheduled for 9 pm until midnight at the Queen Street restaurant.
