Monthly Meetings

Parkinson’s Disease Support Group, for people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers; refreshments are served. Meets every third Monday of the month, at the Southbury Town Hall, from 1 to 3 pm. For information call Margaret Clark, 203-426-5534.

Newtown Parent Connection Bereavement Group, facilitated by a grief counselor, meets the first Wednesday of each month, Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street, Parent Connection office, 7:30 to 9 pm; 203-270-1600.

Compassionate Friends, at Healing Hearts, 73 Stadley Rough Road, Danbury, 7:15 pm on fourth Tuesday of each month, grief support group for families who have experienced the death of a child. For information call Karen Butterfield, 845-225-5895.

Special Moms Prayer Group, support for moms with special needs children, at St Rose, 38 Church Hill Road, at 7 pm, the third Wednesday of the month (except July; no meeting). Open to all faiths. For information call Beth, 203-426-3606.

Autism Support Group meets the first Thursday of each month at 7 pm at Newtown Youth & Family Services, 15 Berkshire Road. For information, call 203-270-4335.

Newtown Parent Connection Multi-Family/Extended Family Group, Hope and Support, offering an opportunity for siblings or other family members to share fears or frustrations in dealing with a loved one’s substance issues.
