Waldorf School Slates Valentines Celebration Fundraiser

As a fundraiser for Housatonic Valley Waldorf School, one family will offer up songs and stories to go along with pizza, artisan cheeses, and wine during a special Valentineâs event, scheduled for Saturday, February 11, from 7 pm to 10 pm, at the Fat Cat Pie Company in Norwalk.
A listing for the night calls it an adult celebration to benefit the school. Tickets for the event will cost $30 per person. For information about purchasing tickets call 203-364-1114 or e-mail cfreedman@waldorfct.org.
Charles Keating, a retired actor who has been active in the Housatonic Valley Waldorf School and continues to teach college courses, will offer up the entertainment for the evening with his family, Mary, Sean, and Jamie.
Mr Keating has performed with his family in the past. He also said Fat Cat Pie, which has provided the space for the event, will provide the pizza and wine as well.
âWhatâs wonderful is that the restaurantâs owner is a wine connoisseur,â said Mr Keating. âHe goes around the world finding wines. So the wine will be very good.â
His family, he said, will feature poems and songs during the night. While he said he did not want to limit the nightâs entertainment to only being about romance, the night will still be, âa celebration of love in itself.â
From Yates to Shakespeare, Mr Keating said the night will provide roughly 25 fragments of songs and poems.
âIt really is about love in many shapes and kinds,â said Mr Keating.
