Hawk Skaters In Action

Newtown High School’s hockey team saw its four-game winning streak come to an end in a 5-1 loss to the Norwich Free Academy-St. Bernard-Bacon Academy team at Danbury Ice Arena on February 18.

The Nighthawks were 9-8 overall heading into Wednesday’s clash with Lyman Hall (after The Bee sports section went to press).

Newtown, battling for playoff positioning in the South-West Conference Division II-III Tournament, will finish off the regular season with back-to-back tilts with the New Fairfield-Immaculate team in Danbury on Saturday, February 25 at 4:30 pm and Monday, February 27 at 3:20 pm.
