An Apology

(The following letter to Newtown School District Business Director Ron Bienkowski has been received for publication.)

Dear Mr Bienkowski,

Last week at the end of my letter to the editor [“Some Questions,” Letter Hive, 2/17/12] I made a statement to you regarding something I’d seen on the Board of Ed meeting video.  The thought never crossed my mind that there may be a condition relating to this, so I made a rash and uncalled for comment.

Mr Bienkowski, I am sorry.  We may have our differences but I never meant to hurt you personally.

Lesson learned:  Just because one sees something, doesn’t mean one knows the whole story.
