Devoted Mother And Grandmother

Rose Sophie Skrzypczak, 85, of Port Chester, N.Y., died peacefully, February 16, with her four children at her bedside. She was a life long resident of Port Chester and the wife of John Skrzypczak, who died in 2005.

Four children, including Joe Skrzypczak, and his wife Janis, of Newtown; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and four siblings survive Mrs Skrzypczak.

Mrs Skrzypczak was a devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Port Chester. She worked at the Lifesavers plant.

The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at Ridgefield Crossings Assisted Living for their gentle and loving care of Mrs Skrzypczak.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place February 21. Interment was at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, N.Y.
