Robert Michael Ferraro

Former Newtown Resident

Robert Michael Ferraro, 49, son of Patricia Watson Ferraro of Palm Harbor, Fla., and the late Samuel Joseph Ferraro, died August 10, at the Connecticut Hospice Hospital, Branford, after a very brave and courageous battle with cancer. Mr Ferraro, known by his friends as “Mooney,” was born September 26, 1960, in Greenwich. He grew up in Newtown, where he was a graduate of Newtown High School.

Along with his mother, his sister, Susan Dann, with whom he made his home; his brother-in-law; his niece; and the family dog, which he loved very much, survive Mr Ferraro. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Growing up, he was active in Boy Scouts and played football.

He worked as a carpenter for area contractors for many years. He was an avid New York Giants football fan.

Please join the family for a celebration of his life and one last “Happy Hour,” Sunday, August 15, between the hours of 3 to 7 pm. at the Danns’ house in Bethel.

Connecticut Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
