Pub 25 Receives Fine,

One-Day Alcohol Suspension

The state Liquor Control Commission has announced that Pub 25 American Grille located at Plaza South at 266 South Main Street (Route 25) has been penalized for violations of state liquor regulations.

The business has paid a fine of $500 and will have its license to sell alcohol suspended for one day on Monday, April 2, according to a statement from the Liquor Control Commission.

The violations that prompted the penalty are sale of alcohol to a minor and allowing a minor in the barroom.

Last September 23, state liquor control agents and town police officers conducted alcohol compliance tests at six local bars and restaurants that sell alcohol. Pub 25 was among three establishments that failed those tests, according to the commission.

In such tests, underage volunteer youths seek to purchase alcohol as part of the commission’s alcohol enforcement.
