Fraser Woods Montessori School held its annual Holiday Celebration on Thursday, December 17. Family and friends were invited to hear the students perform songs.

Before and after the performances the eight year students were assembled at a Middle School Gift Market table in the school’s common area. The students worked in groups to raise money for charities and global efforts to help people through the Alternative Gifts International. Students Liam Byrne, Khal Bashawaty, and Alessandro Orjuela explained they were raising money to help fund vegetable gardens in Tanzania.

Once the attendees were all gathered in the school’s gymnasium, Head of School Myriam Woods welcomed everyone to the event.

“As we celebrate the season, I would like to thank all of you for being part of our community,” said Ms Woods.

Students from each grade level at the school participated in the celebration. Songs performed included “Silent Night,” “Holiday Bells,” “Snow is Falling Today,” “Star of the County Down,” “Carol of Drums,” “A Rondo for Chanukah,” and “Silver Bells.”
