CTCâs First Tech Tour Goes Brown With UPS
HARTFORD â Business people, particularly those involved in IT specialties, are invited by the Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) to attend its Tech Tour Open House â visiting the facilities of some of Connecticutâs leading technology companies and innovators.
Attendees will be introduced to the unique technology of the host company while meeting some of the personnel that had a role in its development and its execution.
CTC is launching this new program for its members and invitees to visit the facilities of some of the stateâs most interesting technology companies.
The Tech Tours will also provide attendees the opportunity to learn from leading companies how they use technology to advance their business as well as to share best practices. Tech Tours also provide another opportunity for professional networking. Tech Tours will visit companies in all parts of the state.
For the first Tech Tour, CTC has partnered with UPS because of its smart usage of technology to effectively deliver 15.6 million packages and documents daily.
With 4,342 technology employees, 32.1 million daily online tracking requests, and 108,999 DIADS (Delivery Information Acquisition Devices) utilized in their business, UPS represents a fascinating visual opportunity to observe a live demonstration of how a company integrates hardware and software to make it all look seamless to its customers.
