Jeremiah Incident
Police said they charged Tammy S. Randall, 34, of 4 Spring Trail, Sandy Hook, on a warrant April 5 listing charges of reckless driving, evading responsibility, and interfering with police.
The charges stem from a motor vehicle accident last October 27 on Jeremiah Road in which a vehicle collided with a shed and two mailboxes, police said.
Police said that at the time of the accident, Randall had told them that her husband had been driving the vehicle involved in the accident, and thus he was charged in the case.
Later, Randall changed her story about the incident and she was consequently charged, police said. She is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court April 19 to answer the charges.
MV Charges
Police said they observed motorist Katharine Sasanoff, 50, of 18-A Little Brook Lane driving northbound on South Main Street about 11:17 am April 4 with an expired vehicle registration sticker.
Police said they stopped an investigated, charging her with two infractions â operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to notify the state Department of Motor Vehicles about an address change.
South Main DUI
Police said they saw motorist Sythath Vongxiengkhay, 48, of Danbury driving a 1987 Chrysler Conquest northbound on South Main Street in an erratic manner about 9:40 pm April 7.
Police said they stopped the Chrysler and found that Vongxiengkhay was unable to perform sobriety tests due to an impaired condition. Police said they lodged charges of driving under the influence and failure to drive to the right.
After processing at the police station, police released Vongxiengkhay on a promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court April 19.
Sandy Hook Crash
Police report motorist Leslie A. Gunn, 48, of 13 Valley Field Road, who was driving a 1995 Dodge Caravan about 7:41 am April 4, was exiting Walnut Tree Hill Road and attempting to make a left turn onto eastbound Church Hill Road, when the Caravan collided with a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 van being driven westbound on Church Hill Road by Paul Jaros, 54, of 2 Deer Trail.
The Ram 1500 had passed several westbound vehicles on the right before colliding with the Caravan, police said.
Police issued Jaros a written warning for passing on the right.
Route 302 Accident
Police said motorist Wendell K. Hovey, 49, of Danbury, who was driving a 1996 Ford pickup truck, was stopped at a stop sign on Sugar Lane at its easterly intersection with Route 302 about 7 pm April 5 and intending to turn left onto eastbound Route 302, when after looking both ways, Hovey turned left, but drove into the path of westbound motorist Karissa M. Bergeron, 16, of New Haven, who was driving a 1989 Volkswagen Golf, resulting in a collision.
The Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps transported Bergeron to Danbury Hospital to be checked out, police said.
Newtown Hook and Ladder firefighters popped open a jammed door on the pickup truck to get Hovey out of the vehicle, police said. Hovey was checked at the scene, police said.
Police issued Hovey a written warning for failure to grant the right of way at a stop sign.
Wrong-Way Driver
State police said they saw motorist Nancy J. Francesco, 43, of 68 Riverside Road driving her Jeep in the wrong direction on the westbound Interstate 84 Exit 9 off-ramp about 11:19 pm April 3.
 State police said an investigation indicated Francesco was intoxicated. State police charged her with driving under the influence and driving the wrong way on an off-ramp.
After processing, state police released Francesco for an April 16 appearance in Danbury Superior Court to answer the charges.
Jackknife
State police report that while traveling in slowing traffic on eastbound Interstate 84, just east of Exit 9 about 4:46 pm April 6, a vehicle moved in front of tractor-trailer truck driver Paul W. Gaspard, 35, of Danbury, causing Gaspard to turn left and brake. In doing so, the truck jackknifed into the highwayâs median, state police said.
The incident caused traffic delays. Gaspard was not injured. There was no enforcement action.
Hanover Burglary
Sometime between 2:30 and 3:30 pm April 3, someone forced open a rear door of a house on Hanover Road near Butterfield Road and stole a snowboard and snowboard boots. The persons stole three potted plants from the yard. Police said there were witnesses to the incident and are investigating. The incident constitutes burglary, larceny, and criminal mischief.
