Free 'Peculiar Children' Screenings This Weekend At Edmond Town Hall

Ingersoll Auto of Danbury will be sponsoring all six of the planned screenings of Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children scheduled at Edmond Town Hall Theatre this weekend.

The film will be featured December 9-13; Ingersoll Auto is sponsoring the sreenings at 9:15 pm Friday, December 9; 1, 4, 7, and 9:15 pm Saturday, December 10; and 7 pm Sunday, December 11.

The auto dealer and service center, owned by Todd Ingersoll of Newtown, has been offering at least one free screening each month since January 2013. The offer is first come, first served. Edmond Town Hall is at 45 Main Street.

Based on the debut novel by Ransom Riggs and released in September, this dark fantasy/adventure tells the story of Jake (Asa Butterfield), who discovers clues to a mystery that spans alternate realities and times, and a secret refuge known as Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.

As he learns about the residents and their unusual abilities, Jake realizes that safety is an illusion, and danger lurks in the form of powerful, hidden enemies. Jake must figure out who is real, who can be trusted, and who he really is.

The film also stars Eva Green, Samuel L. Jackson, Judy Dench, Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Chros O'Dowd and Rupert

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is rated PG-13, and has a running time of 2 hours, 7 minutes.

After the weekend, screenings will continue on Monday at 7 pm, and Tuesday at 1 and 7 pm. Tickets are $3 each.
