Approximately 100 children, with baskets in their hands and parents at their side, found colorful eggs filled with candy and toys at the Newtown Parks & Recreation Department's Annual Spring Egg Hunt, at Dickinson Park on Saturday, April 8.

There were about 6,000 eggs spread out on the fields at Dickinson. Also hidden were 11 plastic carrots, and the lucky participants who found them won goodie-filled Easter baskets.

The Easter Bunny was on hand to meet children and lead them on the hunt.
