Bus 30's Final Thank You and Goodbye
Bus 30âs Final Thank You and Goodbye
To the Editor:
Thursday, June 21, was a bittersweet day for me. My job as an owner-operator was coming to an end. A new beginning for me was emerging. As I approached my second stop in the morning (6:29), I was so surprised to see parents, middle school and high school kids (even though they did not have school that day) waiting for Bus 30. They greeted me with smiles, cheers, hugs and kisses, let alone this huge basket full of presents. As I thanked everyone one by one, there was many a tear shed. The school year started and that very same night, we all found out we were replaced.
This scene was repeated for me all throughout the day. Kids jumping, screaming Bus 30, holding posters and balloons and just going crazy. The parents were just as enthusiastic as the kids.
Needless to say, I was overwhelmed and so deeply touched. I can never thank everyone for their love and support they have shown me over all these years, especially this last one when there were many bumps in the road.
I was blessed to have a great route, but even better parents and kids. I received written notes from so many of them, it was unbelievable. A big shout out to Holden and The Fonz!!
I will continue to smile and do what I love to do. I will be available to drive you to airports, casinos, the city; where ever you need to go. I will also be walking dogs, and taking care of your pets when you are not around. You have my number so just give me a call.
Again, thank you so very much for all that you have done for me over these years. The gifts were amazing and I will be forever grateful to you.
It was a great ride. It was real, it was fun; it was real fun and now I am done!
See you around town. All the best!
