Interior Design Program Debut At NEIT

WARWICK, R.I. — New England Institute of Technology recently developed a new bachelor’s degree level program, “Interior Design Technology.”

The program prepares students for proficiency in the art and technology of designing interior built environment relative to the users’ social, psychological, and aesthetic needs.

The mission of the program is to educate students in the fundamentals of interior design and building sciences by combining the theoretical and practical concepts of design, building systems, components, and construction within the context of the technical courses offered. Further, the department design faculty strives to instill within each student an awareness of and desire to contribute to the profession and society at large through the development of a professional and personal ethic that demands technically, environmentally, and socially responsible decisionmaking.
