CTV-21 Video Production Internship Begins January 28
Charter Communicationsâ CommuniTyVision 21 (CTV-21), the Community Access Channel, is responsible for providing local community members and organizations with the opportunity to provide or produce local programming. This is meant to enhance a sense of community and promote a diversity of viewpoints as an alternative to commercial television.
To aid the community in producing programming, CTV-21 is offering a new, improved 50-hour, hands-on internship in community video production. This award-winning internship is offered three times a year and involves interns in all aspects of video production.
The next session will begin with an orientation on Thursday, January 28, at 6 pm. The CTV-21 studio is at 11 Commerce Road, Newtown.
The internship is free of charge and applications may be obtained by calling 203-304-4050 or visiting CommuniTyVision21.com. The internship is open to students and nonstudents 16 years of age or older in the Charter Communications 14-town franchise area. Previous experience is not required.
A certificate of completion is given to those completing 50 hours or more and school credit is possible.
The winter internship is the most popular of the three courses offered annually, so community members are encouraged to submit an application as soon as possible. The deadline for application submission is January 22.
