Mother and Sister

Mary C. Blodgett Jackson, 74, of Newtown, formerly of Danbury, died September 18 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, New Haven. She was born in Danbury, February 11, 1931, a daughter of Vincent and Helen (Doucette) Blodgett.

She attended St. Peter’s School in Danbury and was a 1949 graduate of Danbury High School. She worked in the offices of Sperry Rail Service, Taylor Trucking, and Allergy & Asthma Associates.

Mrs Jackson is survived by two daughters, Nancy J. McGuinness and her husband, John B., of Brookfield; Diane M. Cimino and her husband, Brian V., of San Clemente, Calif.; one brother, John Blodgett of New Milford; three sisters, Ruth Blodgett of Danbury, Sister Helen Blodgett of Philadelphia, and Frances Wheeler of Maybrook, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Cara, John Jr, Hunter, Michael, and Megan; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anne Lorenti.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St Peter’s Church, Danbury, September 22. Burial was in St Peter’s Cemetery, Danbury.
