Former Newtown High School soccer player Marcus Tracy and the Wake Forest men’s soccer team advanced to the NCAA Tournament’s semifinals — the College Cup — with a 5-0 win over South Florida this past Saturday. Wake Forest and North Carolina will meet in the first of two national semifinals on Friday, December 12, in Frisco, Texas.

The match between the Deacons and Tar Heels is scheduled for 5:30 pm and will be shown live on ESPN2.

Maryland and St. John’s will battle in the other semifinal. The  championshipis scheduled for December 14, at 1 pm on ESPN2.
