Leaves A Legacy Of Love And Dream Achievement
Cynthia B. Gottschalck, 51, of Sandy Hook, died unexpectedly March 23 at Danbury Hospital. Mrs Gottschalck was the beloved wife of Kenneth Gottschalck. She was born in Norfolk, Va., on December 7, 1956, a daughter of Obie and Betty (Epps) of Goldsboro, N.C. She was a resident of Sandy Hook the past 12 years and was a member of the Walnut Hill Community Church in Bethel
Mrs Gottschalck reached out and impacted amazing numbers of people every day with her awesome beauty, the depth of her wisdom, insight, and knowledge, and her passion for boundless giving, loving, teaching, and inspiring. She has gifted an immeasurable legacy of love, dream achievement, and spirituality to her husband, children, family, and friends. Live, give, challenge, overcome, learn, teach, laugh, and love.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by three sons, Arthur White of Kinston, N.C., and Kenneth and William Gottschalck of Sandy Hook; a daughter, Karimah Gottschalck of New York City; two sisters, Sheila Webb and her husband, Stanley, of Kenly, N.C. and Barbara White of Goldsboro, N.C.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Saturday, March 29, in the Walnut Hill Community Church, 156 Walnut Hill Road, Bethel. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport.
Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Friday evening, March 28, from 7 to 9 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a fund for Mrs Gottschalckâs charitable interests will be appreciated and may be sent in care of Walnut Hill Community Church, 156 Walnut Hill Road, Bethel CT 06801.
