Eileen A. Jones

Eileen A. Jones 69, of Schenectady, N.Y., died after a long illness, July 31, at the Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, surrounded by her family. She was born May 16, 1943, in Hoosick Falls, N.Y., daughter of Mary (Haussler) and James Merrill.

Survivors include her daughters Melissa Jones and Laurie Dale of Sandy Hook, Meghan Jones of Rotterdam, N.Y., Kyle, and her husband Kyle, DeGraaf of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; a son, Kevin Jones of Rotterdam; a sister LouAnn Sheffer, and her husband, Ray, of Summerfield, Fla.; and two brothers and their wives, Robert and Maureen Merrill of Owego, N.Y., and James and Sue Merrill of Valatia, N.Y. Several nieces and nephews also survive Ms Jones.

Ms Jones was employed as a teachers’ assistant at Hoosick Falls Central School and later at Niskayuna Middle School. She was an avid sports fan, and liked golfing, crafting, and antiquing. She most enjoyed the time she spent with family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled for Friday, August 3, at 2 pm, from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
