A Good Shepherd
A Good Shepherd
To the Editor:
As a volunteer photographer for Canine Advocates, I have had untold opportunities over the last several years to witness the skills of Carolee Mason, Newtownâs animal control officer.
My weekly visits to Newtownâs pound have convinced me repeatedly how fortunate indeed that Newtown is in having Carolee as the guardian of our stray and abandoned animals. I have observed Caroleeâs multiple skills, not only reflected in her loving care of the cats and dogs residing at the pound, but as importantly, in her kind and supportive relationships with people involved in the adoption process. Untold stories of grateful residents abound in Newtown singing the praises of Carolee, who matched the perfect dog or cat with an individual and family.
Carolee is a good shepherd for Newtownâs abandoned animals. Please reward her untiring devotion in her work in very difficult surroundings by reinstating her as Newtownâs animal control officer.
Yours truly,
Gene Rosen
