Girls On The Run
Girls On The Run
Â
Girls On The Run recently completed its community project, having worked closely with Maria Hutchinson and the Hawley Beautification Committee to clean up the Butterfly Garden located at the back of Hawley School.
Girls On The Run is an experienced learning program for girls ages 8 to 10 (grades 3 to 5) that combines training for a 5K run/walk with life-changing, self-esteem enhancing, uplifting warm-ups and workouts that encourage emotional, social, mental and physical development.
Sessions take place in the fall and spring and meet at Hawley School twice a week.
The girls trained for the Rockinâ Rooster Run held on Saturday, June 7, and 17 girls â each paired with a parent, sibling or volunteer â completed the race as the final goal in their program.
