DANBURY — The Danbury chapter of The Compassionate Friends (TCF), a grief support group for families who have experienced the death of a child, will meet Tuesday, August 15, at 7 pm at the Danbury United Methodist Church on Clapboard Ridge Road (Route 39 – Exit 5 off I-84) for a potluck picnic. “Open Discussion Night” is the topic for the August meeting and will be held following the picnic.

The group meets the third Tuesday of every month. The Danbury TCF is part of the national support group for parents, grandparents, and adult siblings who have experienced the death of a child. For more information about the group and its meetings, call 203/797-8996 or 203/743-5613.

The group’s next monthly meeting will be Tuesday, September 19. The meeting topic will be “Coping Strategies for Stressful_Times.”
