Police said motorcyclist Alton Ozinsky, 50, of Fairfield was driving a 2006 Harley-Davidson FLTRI southward on Hattertown Road, when while negotiating a curve to the right the motorcycleâs tires skidded and Ozinsky entered the opposite lane, colliding with a northbound 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Mary Jo Brett, 66, of 19 Hundred Acres Road.
Ozinsky collided with the SUVâs hood and windshield, but said he was not injured and refused medical transport, police said. Dodgingtown firefighters went to the scene.
Police issued Ozinsky an infraction for failure to drive to the right.
Warrant
After learning police held a warrant for her arrest, Mary Dunlap, 49, of Brookfield went to the police station on the afternoon of August 20, and was charged with second-degree failure to appear in court, driving while under suspension, and driving with a defective windshield, police said. The motor vehicle charges stem from a May 16 incident, police said. Police released Dunlap on $500 bail for a September 4 court appearance.

Police responded to a report of a larceny at 21 Scudder Road at about 7:18 pm August 20.
After investigating the complaint, police charged Stephen Sackreiter, 26, of that address, with fourth-degree larceny, possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Additionally, police charged Kristen Hatfield, 24, of that address, with fourth-degree larceny.

Tractor-Trailer
Late on the afternoon of August 20, motorist Kathleen Christie, 42, of 28 Mountain Manor Road, who was driving a 2006 Toyota Sienna minivan, was waiting at a red traffic signal in the straight-ahead lane of eastbound Church Hill Road at eastbound Interstate 84âs Exit 10 on-ramp, when a tractor-trailer truck driven by Michael Mann, 50, of Clio, Mich., which was to the right of the Toyota, made a right turn onto the on-ramp, police said.
In making the turn, the truckâs trailer hit the minivan, but the trucker continued onward not realizing that a collision had occurred, police said.
Christie called 911 to report the collision and followed the truck onto I-84, where state police stopped the truck, after which town police investigated the collision. There were no injuries.
Police gave Mann a written warning for failure to drive in the proper lane.
