Free Internet Training

By WBDC, Dec. 9

WATERBURY — Women entrepreneurs can learn how the Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) programs and services can help with business and professional development needs by attending the agency’s walk-in day, Thursday, December 9, from 10 am and 3 pm. The program will be presented in Founders Hall Room 309A at Naugatuck Valley Community College, 750 Chase Parkway.

There is no charge for the information, and appointments are not needed.

The organization is also offering a chance to upgrade skills and optimize an individual’s potential for success in today’s marketplace with a free, one-on-one session on Internet skills with a WBDC counselor.

Attendees will learn how to obtain a free e-mail account, send and receive e-mail messages, set up an address book, and send attachments. They can also discover the benefits of using search engines, perform simple searches, and navigate to web pages of valuable business sites.

WBDC’s business programs and services provide entrepreneurial education, financial training and small business advice to women in Connecticut. Its programs and services infuse the entrepreneurial mindset through education, counseling and professional development. For more information call 203-910-4663 or visit www.ctwbdc.org.
