Still Life In Oil Next Program To Be Hosted By SCAN
The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) will present a demonstration by Shauna Shane at its next meeting, on Wednesday, October 10, at 7:30 pm. The program will be in the lower meeting room of Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street.
Ms Shaneâs subject will be a still life and she will be painting in oil.

Ms Shane has been painting professionally for 32 years and is facile in a variety of mediums including oil, pastel and watercolor. She is a former resident artist at Yellowstone National Park and more recently, The New Britain Museum of American Art. She is a signature member of CT Pastel Society, and an elected member of Lyme art Association, and CT Plein Air Painters Society.
Recent awards were received from Hudson Valley Art Association and the Renaissance Pastel exhibit in Connecticut.
Ms Shane teaches at West Hartford Art League, Glastonbury Art Guild, and Community School of the Arts, UCONN, Maple and Main Gallery in Chester, as well as her own studio in Storrs.
