Frost On Pumpkin Hunter Pace
Frost On Pumpkin Hunter Pace
Newtown Bridle Lands Association (NBLA) will hold its 33rd annual Frost On The Pumpkin Hunter Pace on Sunday October 28. The Frost On the Pumpkin Hunter Pace has become a tradition that attracts many riders both from the Newtown Area and many parts of Connecticut and New York.
A Hunter Pace is a timed trail ride through woods and fields. Riders who come in closest to the ideal pre-clocked pace time for the ride in each Division â Hunt, Western, Pleasure, Youth â are the winners. This yearâs Hunter Pace will feature a beautiful ride through many lovely areas of Newtown. New trails have been added to the route to make for an interesting ride.
The ride is followed by a Fall luncheon catered by Tambascioâs. Billy Michael from Bethel will provide live music. After the luncheon there will be an award ceremony during which ribbons and prizes will be presented to the winning riders.
The Hunter Pace is the major fundraiser that supports the work and activities of Newtown Bridle Lands Association. NBLA works to preserve trails and open space in Newtown for the enjoyment of all passive users, not only horseback riders, but hikers, bikers, dog-walkers, birdwatchers, etc. The NBLA also holds monthly open meetings with educational programs.
