Helen C. Mulvaney, 90, of Ridgefield, wife of the late George F. Mulvaney, died December 31, at Filosa Convalescent Home, Danbury. Mrs Mulvaney was born in Cleveland, Ohio, November 3, 1919, a daughter of Bessie (Deminitska) and Alex Kozak.
She is survived by 11 children, including Margaret Hull and her husband, Eric Thompson, of Newtown; 29 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mrs Mulvaney served in the US Navy during World War II as a communications specialist. A longtime resident of Ridgefield, she was very artistic and loved to paint with oils and watercolors. She was a member of St Maryâs Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated January 6. Burial was in St Maryâs Cemetery, Ridgefield, with military honors.
