Mr and Mrs Brien Merrill

Kimberly Holmes and Brien Merrill were joined in marriage July 28 at Lutheran Emanuel Church, Danbury, with the Rev Daniel Wehmeier officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Lynn Holmes of New Milford and William Holmes, Jr, of Danbury.

The groom is the son of Fred and MaryKaren Merrill of Newtown.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Her sister Michelle was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Jennifer Profita of New Milford, Jacqui Rodda of Danbury, Deborah Bisacca of Danbury, Melissa Merrill of San Francisco, and Kristi Wilhelmson of California.

Bill Joyce was best man.

The ushers were Fred Merrill of Goshen, Patrick Holmes of Danbury, Ted Papyani of Sherman, Mike Sturdavant of New Fairfield, and Todd Doyle of Brookfield.

The flower girls were Veronica and Laura Marchello of New York.

The bride graduated from New Milford High School in 1993 and from Western Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s of business administration in marketing. She is production assistant at Ethan Allen.

The groom graduated from Newtown High School in 1987 and the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s of science in mechanical engineering and is a design engineer at Duracell.

The reception was held at the Crystal Room in Naugatuck.

Following the wedding trip to Antigua, Mr and Mrs Merrill are residing in New Fairfield.
