Letters Of Endorsement

To the Editor:

This year Newtown has an opportunity to make a difference in the direction of our state. Too many of the headlines are rife with the black clouds of increasing taxes, good people not being able to find work, and ever-increasing debt load on each and every Newtown citizen. In my opinion, the state suffers from some of the worst ills nationally and the reason is there is no diversity of perspective.

For far too long, one party rule has “governed” in Hartford and the current groupthink has become the primary reason why Connecticut cannot change direction. That’s why I am supporting Mitch Bolinsky for the 106th as Newtown’s representative in Hartford. Mitch offers a differing approach to the current course. Mitch believes that we should help Newtown diversify its tax base away from the shoulders of homeowners, spend only what we can afford, and begin to take the difficult steps to change the direction of borrowing to pay our operational bills and reduce our long-term debt.

Mitch Bolinsky, your Republican candidate for the 106th, will bring a different, and most importantly, better, choice than the herd mentality of the current state government. More of the same is not what’s best for Newtown. Mitch is best for Newtown.
