William J. Ottoshavett, Jr, 62, of New Milford, died January 5, after a long battle with prostate and bone cancer. He died in the arms of his loving and devoted wife Veronica.
Mr Ottoshavett attended Newtown High School and Norwalk Technical Institute. He was a mechanical draftsman and product designer for Risdon Manufacturing Company. He became a self-employed carpenter for 25 years. His last job for 11 years was for Ability Beyond Disability, where he made many friends â consumers and staff alike.
He loved nature and everything associated with it, including weather, mountains, and wildlife.
In addition to his wife of 38 years, he is survived by his mother, Elizabeth, of New Milford; a brother, Anthony Ottoshavett of Newtown; and his twin sister, Dolores Teleski of New Milford.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 9, from 1 to 4 pm, with a service at 3:30 pm, at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford.
