Michael & Jessica Rhine

Jessica Eileen Oswald and Michael Ward Rhine were married on the beach in The Crane, Barbados, BWI, on November 11, 2011. The Reverend Wayne Seale officiated the ceremony, which will followed by a reception on Cool Running Catamaran at Carlisle Wharf, Bridgetown, Barbados.

The bride is a daughter of Linda and Fred Oswald of Sandy Hook. She was given into marriage by her father.

For her wedding day, Jessica wore a trumpet style gown by Mikaella. She carried a bouquet of yellow and orange calla lilies.

Her matron of honor was her sister, Jennifer Zwiselsberger, of Alexandria, Va., who wore a buttercup yellow strapless knee-length dress by Dessy After Six.  She carried a bouquet of orange and yellow calla lilies.

Bridesmaids were Kristen Jost, a cousin of the bride, from Fairfax, Va.; Carisa Sumter, a friend of the bride and groom, from Silver Spring, Md.; and Alison Coombs, a friend of the bride, from Bethesda, Md. Their dresses were also Dessy After Six strapless knee-length designs in buttercup yellow, and their flowers were yellow calla lilies.

Michael is the grandson of the late Louise and Rowland Rhine of Colonial Beach, Va.

His ushers were his brother Ken Oswald, of Sandy Hook; Doug Zwiselsberger, brother-in-law of the bride, of Alexandria, Va.; Jake Lovely, a friend of the bride and groom, of Fairfax, Va., and Daniel Llerena, another friend of the couple.

The bride’s nephew, Gavin Zwiselsberger, served as the couple’s ring bearer.

Family and friends were treated to beautiful island music performed on the steel drums during the moving ceremony on the gorgeous Crane Beach. A beautiful rainbow appeared minutes after the ceremony, and the couple enjoyed a few pictures with a native green monkey.

The celebration continued with a fantastic reception on Cool Runnings Catamaran and everyone enjoyed swimming with the turtles and dancing under a full moon as part of the reception fun.

Jessica is a 2001 graduate of Newtown High School, and a 2005 graduate of the University of Delaware, where she had a double major in neuroscience and foreign language. She graduated cum laude.

She co-owns Booda Boutique and is Mid-Atlantic account manager for Eurofins MWG Operon.

Michael is a graduate of Parkdale High School. He co-owns Booda Boutique and is Mid-Atlantic account manager of biotechnology and life science sales for Genesee Scientific.

The Rhines celebrated their wedding with a honeymoon in Barbados, BWI. They have returned to their home in Kensington, Md.
